Kansas City PBS was thrilled to host two reopening events in celebration of our newly renovated station in the heart of Midtown Kansas City. Donors, partners, and staff explored the renovations and celebrated with PBS NewsHour co-host Amna Nawaz on July 22 and the celebration continued July 23 with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony.
This incredible transformation is the result of our dedicated donors and the amazing philanthropic community in Kansas City, whose support modernized our building and technology and provided resources for us to better serve our audiences now and into the future.
Crews are completing the finishing touches before the staff moves in later this month and we look forward to welcoming the community into our state-of-the-art space when it officially opens to the public in August.
